My favorite field trip

Save the Bay was my favorite field trip when we went on the boat because we actually went into Narragansett Bay, which I’ve never done before,
and we got to catch fish with a net, which again I’ve never done! I’ve never seen a live squid before and we saw those which was awesome. We also studied plankton, and I learned that 50% of our oxygen is made from phytoplankton. I love field trips because we get to leave the site and have fun experiences with our friends!

Engaging and successful summer learning program

I just want to sing the praises of this program. It was Anthony's first year, and I didn't realize just how engaging it would be and how successful he would feel. As a parent, it was so great to pick Anthony up every day and hear his excitement about everything that was going on in camp and the things that he was looking forward to - especially cleaning up the field! It's project-based learning at its best, and actually helped Anthony get a "job" with my landlord cleaning up the weeds in our apartment complex's parking lot. He had just gotten done with his second day of weed-picking, saw my landlord cleaning up litter in our parking lot, and actually asked if he could help! Seeing him take that initiative and be excited about manual labor was pretty amazing.

On top of that, as a teacher, it has inspired me to look for ways to incorporate projects like this into my school and classroom. 

Thanks again for the opportunity, and I hope that Anthony will be able to participate again next year!!

My daughter has learned so much

There’s no better place to attend Kids Klub at Bernon Heights Elementary School in Woonsocket. The instructors are phenomenal! My daughter has learned so much cognitively, socially, and emotionally that sometimes it’s a little scary but funny that she is becoming a spitting image of me. She loves coming here and we will continue to support Kids Klub.

The program is great

I think the program is great and very helpful to parents who work!

The Staff at Bernon Kids Klub are wonderful

They treat my child well, and make him feel good about himself.
They all have positive attitudes, and are always there when ever there are concerns or celebrations to be had.

Genuinely care for the children

I love all the staff at McGuire, they are extremely friendly and helpful.
It seems like they are all genuinely care for all of the children in the program.
My son really enjoys going to Kids Klub at this location before and after school.

A great team 

I work at Pothier Elementary school. I just want you to know that I have seen a great change this week in the team that is running the program. Sarah the leader is amazing. The children are structured and the staff interacts with the children. You should be happy that you have a great team and a great leader Sarah that watch over the children at Pothier Kids Klub.

I'm gonna miss the kids this week, you've got some really good kids in your programs! I've already dropped off a spare chess set to McGuire, and I've got one ready for North Smithfield next week so the kids can play when I'm not there!
