Kids Klub students have been awarded honorable mention for their short film in the second annual White House Student Film Festival.
Their entry, “I Can Change My World,” was one of more than 1,500 entries submitted in this year’s competition.
In the Kids Klub video, the Woonsocket Elementary School students highlight their time spent making an impact in their own community by raising funds for the George Nasuti Fund and running a lemonade stand and bake sale to benefit Hasbro Hospital. Students also highlight simple ways that everyone can help change their world through simple acts such as donating clothes, picking up trash at the park, donating food to the hungry, and helping friends with homework.
The video was featured on WhiteHouse/gov/FilmFestival in a playlist and may be highlighted through White House social media channels. The film can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/KidsKlubvideo
